If you are looking for a small tent which is a dream to put up then the Vango Harris Air Tent is the one for you. Available is two sizes to fit your needs, our favourite has to be the 350 model as it is one of the smallest tents that you can stand up in while still being very comfortable for two if not three people. The larger 500 size is more aimed at a small family who don’t want something too big for weekends away and can take it for longer stays if they wish. Ventilation is key with the Harris, not only does every panel of the tent have ventilation, it won’t cost the earth. So, it really is in that sweet spot of spec & price.

Vango’s Harris tent couldn’t be any simpler to pitch; merely peg the base of the tent out, pump each individual beam up with the manual stirrup pump supplied and guy the tent out. Hey presto, you are finished. The tent has key features such as dark ‘Nightfall bedrooms’, which enable you to have a longer and better night's sleep as you won’t be waking up when the sun does. Inside the bedroom there are also storage pockets to give you an easily accessible point for storing items like phones or torches so you can find them in the middle of the night. Other important features include cable entry points, privacy curtains, mesh windows internally and low-level panels externally. One of our favourite features is the drop-down doors. Unlike previous years Vango have added extra toggle points to the lip to decrease the chance of the wind blowing through.

The versatile style of the tent allows you to bring the outside in by opening up the front door. This can be achieved be it rain or shine as the front canopy gives you enough coverage so that showers won’t drive into the main body of the tent. The tent is separated into three main areas; a sleeping area which can accommodate up to five people (or three depending on model) with dividers to allow privacy, a main living area spacious enough so that on a rainy day you have enough room to feel comfortable and a front awning offering a great area to cook or leave your muddy shoes and boots before entering the lovely, clean-living area. The side door has the option to be used as a canopy by buying some king poles.

The Vango Harris Air has to be one of our favourite tents for the new season as nothing else offers the same level of flexibility as the Harris, nor the compact pack size and weight, making it perfect for any length of trip.
