The new Redux version of the Dometic Leggera Air 220 Awning is definitely a game changer. Dometic have combined a simplistic inflatable awning with an Eco friend material. The Eco Leggera is made from Recycled Plastic Bottles making it lightweight but good quality; where the new Redux model differs to the normal version is ventilation. There are no PVC windows in the awning, instead opting for mesh windows to increase airflow while zip up curtains can be used to keep the weather out. The new Leggera is also now compatible with Motorhomes as well as Caravans, and it would still fit if you were to change your vehicle.

As the awning is very compact in terms of space and pack size it makes it perfect for short stays as the whole awning can be pitched within 6 minutes (As seen from our Attwoolls Pitching & Packing Videos). The Leggera inflates from a single point and has an internal height taller than other similar models.

The Leggera is available in a 220cm or 260cm width and will fit rail heights between 235-265cm, the 260S model tends to be the most popular as it offers a bit more space (for not a lot of money). The front door can also be used as a canopy by buying some additional upright poles; alternatively there is an option to purchase an official Leggera Canopy which can be zipped onto the front of the awning.

Dometic’s Redux fabric is made completely from Recycled Plastic Bottles, making it one of the most Eco-friendly materials on the market, what was waste is now reused to allow us to enjoy nature rather than destroy it. The high grate polyester material is durable and very waterproof.

The higher spec of the Leggera does seem to give you value for money while retaining an Eco-friendly story.
